Roswell is a small town located in Southeast New Mexico.  It has a population around 50,000 residents and continues to grow. When most people hear the name Roswell, they immediately think of Area 51 and aliens. And while Roswell has thrived from this popular tourist attraction with the UFO Museum and many artificial intelligence shops and landmarks, there is so much more to Roswell that many people do not realize.

 

 

Roswell has a very large art community.  There are many places to explore the culture and arts around the city. These places include the Roswell Museum & Art Center, the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Historic Center to name a few. There are many young professionals in the community that strive to keep the arts alive and active in Roswell. Many concerts are brought to the city and theater productions are a major hit with the residents.

 

 

Amongst the variety of offerings in the art community, there are two exceptional music ensembles, the Roswell Flute Ensemble and the Pecos Valley Brass Quintet. These music ensembles are comprised of Roswell residents who are passionate about keeping the music and arts alive within the community. All work very hard and devote much of their time to these ensembles and dedicate themselves to offering beautiful music wherever they are able to.
